시키는 대로 하다, 하라는 대로 하다, 배운 대로 하다, 지시대로 하다. 영어로

1. 그냥 설명서에 나와 있는 대로만 했어.
   >> I did what it says in the manual. (says 발음: 쌔애-스)
   >> I did it according to the manual.
   >> I did it according to the instructions in the manual.
   영어에서 뭔가가 쓰인 내용을 말할 때는 say 라는 말을 많이 쓴다.
   
   표지에 뭐라고 써 있어?
   >> What does it says on the cover?
   단순하게는 이렇게 표현할 수 있다. 어디에 적혀 있는 것 대로 하는 경우이다.
   Follow the instructions: 설명대로 하다.
   I just followed the instructions.
   A: How did you do this?
   B: I just followed the instructions in the manual.
   
   
2. 난 걔가 시킨 그대로 했어. (난 걔가 하라는 대로 했어)
   >> I did exactly what he said(told me to).
   난 너가 시킨 그대로 했어. (난 너가 하라는 대로 했어.)
   >> I did exactly what you said(told me to).
   여기서 to까지 적으면, 그 사람이 이래라저래라 지시한 게 부각이 된다.
   >> I did it according to what you said(told me)
   >> I did everything according to what you told me.
   
   상사가 나한테 한 지시대로 했어.
   >> I followed the instructions that my boss gave me.
   >> I followed the instructions that you have me.
   
   
3. 배운 대로 하다 / 가르쳐 준 대로 하다.
   >> Just remember what you learned.
   >> Just remember what I taught you.
   
   
4. 늘 하던 대로 하다 / 늘 하는 대로 하다.
   >> Do what I have always done.
   >> I did what I'd(I had) always done.
   >> I did what I've always done.
   >> I did what I always do.
   
   *지난 2주 동안 / 그 동안 / 지금까지 / 여태까지
   For the past(last) 2 weeks / up to now / until now
   이렇게 표현할 때는 always를 쓰면 안 된다.
   난 그냥 지난 2주 동안 해왔던 대로 할게.
   >> I'll just do what I've done for the past(last) 2 weeks.
   >> I'll just do what I've been doing for the past(last) 2 weeks.
   
   난 그냥 지금까지 해왔던 대로 할게.
   >> I'll just do what I've been doing up to now.
   
   그냥 원래 계획대로 하자.
   >> Let's just do what we were originally planning(going) to do.
   >> Let's just stick to our original plan.
   *stick to~: ~에 붙어있자(바꾸지 말자)
